Charming hotel on the waterfront

Maison Mariélie

Renovation of Maison Marielie, a family hotel with 12 suites located in Carqueiranne in the Var. In the rooms with delicate woody and floral hues, the beds now face the sea and the made-to-measure kitchens look like pretty lacquered furniture. The walls are clad in raffia coverings and the bathrooms are fitted with washbasins in Krion "solid surface", an innovative antibacterial material. Catherine has nevertheless managed to preserve the soul of the place by scattering the hotel with family furniture and antique items. The bar designed by the grandfather has turned into a reception counter, the paintings on the wall come from the family attic and the old crockery makes up lovely services. Catherine has thus succeeded in combining comfort and modernity without giving up the emotional charge of the hotel. Far from confining herself to decoration, Catherine has also redesigned the graphic charter of the establishment and suggested the creation of an online concierge service to streamline the service. A process of improvement that goes hand in hand with its attention to the needs of everyone! (Home and Garden article)
